Services for bloggers at ITB Berlin 2020

Accreditation available online as of now – ITB Blogger Base now located at the new hub27 – Modern Media Centre in Hall 6.3 provides comprehensive information and services – Save the date: press events at ITB Berlin 2020

From 4 to 8 March 2020 thousands of journalists and bloggers from around the world are again expected to attend the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. With the ITB Blogger Speed Dating event and the eTravel World, ITB Berlin – the must-go event of the year for all travel bloggers – provides the perfect platform for meeting leading decision-makers in one place in a short space of time. Next year, the ITB Blogger Base will be relocating to the new hub27 where it will provide an ideal working environment. ITB Berlin is also offering numerous other services to ensure that your visit will be a success.

Online accreditation

You can obtain accreditation online as of now at as a blogger at ITB Berlin 2020. Please observe the accreditation guidelines. After your application has been processed and approved you will receive an email with your accreditation for ITB in the form of a PDF document which you can print out.

Bloggers may only obtain accreditation online. During ITB Berlin bloggers will not be able to obtain accreditation at the event’s media counters.

Accreditation grants admission to ITB Berlin (4 – 8 March 2020) and the ITB Berlin Convention (4 – 7 March 2020). It does not automatically include registration for the Blogger Speed Dating event. Blogger IDs for ITB Berlin 2020 are valid from 3 to 8 March 2020, daily from 8.30 a.m. until closing time. The badges issued are non-transferable and valid only in combination with a personal ID. Many exhibitors will also be using special areas to meet and entertain trade visitors, the media and bloggers, and access to these areas may require separate registration with the exhibitor in question.

Upon presentation of your ITB Blogger badge you can obtain free admission to the Berlin Travel Festival, the partner event of ITB Berlin, on all three days of the event. Advance registration is required:

ITB Blogger Speed Dating event

ITB Berlin is offering all accredited bloggers the opportunity to take part in the ITB Blogger Speed Dating event free of charge. A chance to network and collaborate! The event will take place on Thursday, 4 March at the CityCube. Registration for the ITB Blogger Speed Dating event will commence in December 2019. You can then register online here.
Attention: Due to high demand we cannot guarantee your participation in the ITB Blogger Speed Dating event.

ITB Blogger Base

From 4 to 6 March 2020 at the new hub27, the ITB Blogger Base is where from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. the blogging community will be meeting to network or simply recharge their batteries. Free Wi-Fi, a relaxed working atmosphere and charging points will invite bloggers to gather here. More information will be available soon. Stay tuned. #itbberlin is looking forward to your visit.

Media Centre at ITB Berlin

The Media Centre is the place to head for the media at ITB Berlin. This is where journalists and bloggers can find a state-of-the-art working environment and a wide range of information services and material. The entrances nearest to the Media Centre are the main south entrance and the CityCube: Map of the Exhibition Grounds.

The state-of-the-art Media Centre in Hall 6.3 is open from 3 to 8 March 2020, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is where you can find:

- the ITB Berlin press team,
- press material from the organisers,
- around 200 workplaces for journalists,
- a lounge area and adjacent bar for the press,
- the latest news, event times and dates,
- free Wi-Fi connections and Wi-Fi workplaces,
- editorial offices,
- exhibitors’ press boxes.

On the Alpha level of hub27, from 4 to 8 March 2020, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. you can also find:

- the Media Hub, with workplaces for journalists,
- a press conference room,
- PR agencies
- the ITB Blogger Base and a cloakroom.

The Virtual Market Place® has information about exhibitors 365 days a year, including company profiles, products, as well as contact details for journalists and bloggers.

As a blogger the VMP lets you:

- research exhibitors and products – including by topic or hall
- set up your own blogger profile so that you can be contacted by exhibitors and trade visitors
- make appointments with exhibitors via this platform and request additional information

About ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention

ITB Berlin 2020 will be taking place from Wednesday, 4 to Sunday, 8 March, and from Wednesday to Friday will be open to trade visitors only. ITB Berlin is the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. In 2019 a total of 10,000 companies and organisations from 181 countries exhibited their products and services to around 160,000 visitors, including 113.500 trade visitors. Parallel with the show the ITB Berlin Convention, the largest event of its kind, will be held from Wednesday, 4 to Saturday, 8 March 2020.
