Services for the press at ITB Berlin 2020

Accreditation available online now – New: Media Hub at hub27 – Modern Media Centre provides comprehensive information and services – Save the date: press events at ITB Berlin 2020

From 4 to 8 March 2020 thousands of journalists and bloggers from around the world are again expected to attend the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. In order to offer journalists the best possible working conditions ITB Berlin will be providing extensive media services, including online accreditation, press material for individual parts of the media and a fully equipped Media Centre with workplaces for journalists in Hall 6.3. Furthermore, the Media Hub in hub27, our newly opened multi-purpose building, will provide a modern working environment.

Online accreditation

You can obtain accreditation online as of now at Please observe the accreditation guidelines. After your application has been processed and approved you will receive an email with your accreditation for ITB in the form of a PDF document which you can print out.

Note: Please under all circumstances obtain accreditation online. This will save you obtaining accreditation and long waiting times at the event.

Upon presentation of your ITB press badge you can also obtain free admission to the Berlin Travel Festival, the partner event of ITB Berlin. Advance registration is required:

Accreditation at the event

Representatives of the media can obtain accreditation online for the entire duration of ITB Berlin. Journalists who have not registered early can obtain accreditation with the relevant documents on the exhibition grounds.

Press badges for ITB Berlin 2020 are valid from 3 to 8 March 2020, daily from 8.30 a.m. until closing time and grant admission to ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention. The badges issued are non-transferable and valid only in combination with a personal ID. Many exhibitors will also be using special areas in order to meet and entertain trade visitors, the media, and access to these areas may require separate registration with the exhibitor in question.

Media Centre at ITB Berlin

The Media Centre is the place to head for the media at ITB Berlin. This is where journalists and bloggers can find a state-of-the-art working environment and a wide range of information services and material. The entrances nearest to the Media Centre are the main south entrance and the CityCube: Map of Exhibition Grounds.

The state-of-the-art Media Centre in Hall 6.3 is open from 3 to 8 March 2020, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is where you can find:

- the ITB Berlin press team,
- press material from the organisers,
- around 200 workplaces for journalists,
- a lounge area and adjacent bar for the press,
- the latest news, event times and dates,
- free Wi-Fi connections and Wi-Fi workplaces,
- editorial offices,
- exhibitors’ press boxes.

On the Alpha level of hub27, from 4 to 8 March 2020, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. you can also find:

- the Media Hub, with workplaces for journalists,
- a press conference room,
- New: PR agencies,
- the ITB Blogger Base,
- a cloakroom for the media.

Please note that lockers will not be available due to the strict security measures in place at the ITB Berlin Media Centre. Please use the cloakrooms at the entrances. Service charges will apply.

About ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention

ITB Berlin 2020 will be taking place from Wednesday, 4 to Sunday, 8 March, and from Wednesday to Friday will be open to trade visitors only. ITB Berlin is the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. In 2019 a total of 10,000 companies and organisations from 181 countries exhibited their products and services to around 160,000 visitors, including 113.500 trade visitors. Parallel with the show the ITB Berlin Convention, the largest event of its kind, will be held from Wednesday, 4 to Saturday, 8 March 2020.
